Package Protection is an optional service offered at checkout to help address eligible issues involving lost, damaged, or stolen packages during transit.
Package Protection is not insurance and does not guarantee a refund or replacement. Any resolution provided is subject to verification and eligibility requirements.
Coverage Scope
Package Protection may apply to the following situations while the order is in transit:
• Packages that are lost by the carrier
• Packages that arrive damaged
• Packages reported stolen after delivery
Claims Process
• Lost packages may be eligible for review after a reasonable carrier transit period has passed.
• Packages marked as delivered but not received may require carrier verification before review.
• Damage claims must include photo documentation and be submitted within a reasonable timeframe after delivery.
Exclusions
Package Protection does not apply to:
• Orders with incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses provided at checkout
• Delays caused by the carrier that do not result in loss or damage
• Packages confirmed as delivered where eligibility requirements are not met
Important Notes
• If Package Protection is not added, The Mad Hatter Co. is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged packages once the order has been handed off to the carrier.
• Package Protection fees are non-refundable once an order has shipped.
• All claims are reviewed individually and outcomes are determined based on available verification.
